Smoke Alarm

Due to the cold in my place, and my cooking, my upstairs smoke detector is now beeping every few minutes. When I checked the battery (it gives a satisfying tounge-jolt) it was slick with moisture. It must be water condensing inside the ionization chamber chamber triggering the beeping.
