To start, you can help by showing my resume to people who you know are hiring. (I live in the Seattle area, and don't plan on leaving any time soon, so please make it within bus distance of Seattle.)
If you need some good words to say about me, you can use some of these:
I like things that make sense, and when things don't make sense, I want to change them until they do. I don't like broken things, especially things that are broken because people are too lazy to fix them. I like to automate and abstract because I am "lazy". Not lazy like an oaf, I just don't want to repeat myself over and over.
I learn quickly, very quickly, so you don't need to worry about training me. I'm not afraid to ask questions, and I'm doubly not afraid of screw myself up. I figure that the faster I screw up the faster I get it behind me. I don't have a problem admitting I screwed up, and I'd like to work in a place that acts the same.
Oh, and I know about all kinds of cool stuff too, web stuff, RMI stuff, distributed computing stuff, socket stuff, etc.
