OOPSLA Film Festival

The first ever OOPSLA Film Festival had one totally awesome video about how diff(1) and patch(1) suck. Among other characters, it featured Professor Barbie. She had this to say: "diff and patch helped me in my love life."

In short, the movie used aspects to replace diff and patch to reduce differences in the kernel to semantic differences rather than line differences. The aspects were hidden from the user by a tool called C4. The movie closed with "C4 can make the world a better place."
